Move, Make & Build: Learning Through Music and Movement

In this June Learning Lab, Move, Make & Build: Learning Through Music and Movement, we explored how music, movement, and whole-body experiences can become powerful tools for learning in early childhood programs.

This session walks through three easy-to-implement activity setups: Sound & Movement Exploration, Ribbon & Movement Art, and Obstacle Course Builders. Educators will learn how to intentionally support coordination, rhythm, confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and self-regulation through active play, while also gaining language to help communicate the learning behind movement to families.
